the sun rises, warming up this skin
it hangs in the sky, easing the suffering
then, morning comes, bringing with it the light
and slowly, finally, it washes away the night.

but come again noon, and the sun begins to shine
its deadly lines of fire never weathering through time
it burns, it scorches, yet there's no place to hide
these rays of light heat up everything in sight

and so we go, running, diving into the seas
enjoying the cool feel of water, this gentle breeze
but not even the ocean tolerates us for long
and soon, the waves burst into angry song

rocking on the tide, smashing into the shore
the waves' song turning into a roar
engulfing, drowning all within its sight
choking, swallowing, everything in its tide

the noon moves on, evening arrives
its cooling air washing away our plights
a blessed cessation of pain, and then fear,
as far away, the night again draws near

snow falls, and freezes the skies
until it covers the world with ice
rain turns to hail in the high atmosphere
and below, suffering turns to fear

in the end, the deadly skies moves on
leaving suffering, and people to mourn
and slowly, finally, this painful night creeps to dawn
but at last, it's over, all those memories are gone.
